Description

Vintage poster by Romoli that lends itself to multi-graphic iconographic readings as well illustrated by Pierantoni in “Graphic and related arts, the lithographic manifesto 1900-1950” written on the occasion of an exhibition in Genoa of the Salce ed collection. Corigraf, 1996. Hooded and kneeling people merge and multiply in a perspective theory of essential graphic elements of strong emotional impact. There is therefore a content reading that, while referring to the dark representations of our Middle Ages or the very current Ku Klux Klan, well conveys to the viewer the physical intensity of the Gospel narrative of crucifixion. Content that is conveyed in a vague patriotic reference by the juxtaposition of whites, reds and greens. These emerging colors against the background of a darker night than its black fill well-defined geometric shapes that with their infinite multiplication give well the idea of the multitude of participants but also of the interminable historical perspective in which the procession of the mysteries of Trapani is placed.

vintage poster is in perfect condition and lbacked on linen
