Description

Very little information has been found on this poster, especially for the obvious discrepancy between the nationality of the actress and the German title, which we have not been able to find in the works entitled in English.
Illustrates a play in 5 acts with Australian actress Enid Bennett. PThe drama was distributed in Germany by Hansa-Film-Verleih in the late 1920s and advertised with this lithograph manifesto.
The drawing is very reminiscent of the Italian divas of that period, such as Francesca Bertini in Blue Blood or the famous Lyda Borelli, albeit with a touch of naivety and boyhood in the woman portrayed, perhaps lost in tumultuous thoughts, of which is metaphor the stormy sea behind.
Given the probable and old street poster we preferred to protect and reinforce the paper through the lining on canvas.
