Description

So-called “abribus” edition intended for bus stops in which two of these posters, with different subjects and mounted one on top of the other, rotated inside a large display. Being the interior of this backlit to give vivacity to the colors, the abribus posters, in order not to alter the colors, were printed front and back, on the front with the image intended to be seen, on the back with identical image, but specular that served precisely to stop the light on the darker areas and give shine to the lighter ones while avoiding a fading effect. The well-known Swiss footwear company Bally is not worth talking about, as well as the equally well-known illustrator Bernard Villemot (1911-1989), on which among other things there are some publications freely available on site. The poster is printed in very fine offset and is not canvased, both because the paper is thick (it must withstand the traction of the abribus device) and does not risk descending once in the frame, and because the tarpaulin could alter its colors.
