Description

The film is inspired by the life of a great german aviator during the First World War, Manfred von Richtofen, considered “the great of the greats”, winning 81 air battle. Become squadron leader, he decides to paint the airplanes every available color (yellow, blue, black, green,…) and his biplane, called Fokker, red. Then he was called “The Red Baron” and bears the historical flying circus, which was a precise and colorful attack strategy, consisting of a round of planes, waiting to unhook and to chase the enemies. In the spring of 1918, although the German army had already lost the war, the Baron continued to fight, but he was shot down. Although he was fatally wounded, he was able to land, and because that, the enemies celebrated him.
Like our italian “Uomini sul fondo”, and like a lot of war movies, here the director highlight the courage and war abilities by a very realistic plot.
