Description

GONE WITH THE WIND – Victor Fleming, 1939
cm 39.3″ x 55.1″
with Vivien Leigh (Scarlett O’ Hara) and Clark Gable (Rhett Butler)

Based on the 1936 novel by Margaret Mitchell and set in the South of the United States during the Civil War, it is the powerful historical-melodramatic fresco, which combines the events of the protagonists with the tragic reality of American history seen from the side of the Southerners.
A self-centered Southern girl survives the Civil War and two husbands, but loses the only man she was in love with.
The film is considered the most famous in the history of cinema, an absolute blockbuster in dollars until the 70s (it deserved 8 Oscars, despite the fact that Clark Gable was not awarded).
The film was released in Italy for the first time on March 12, 1949. Other editions followed in 1954 (for which the poster for sale was printed), in 1956, 1962, 1967, 1972 and 1977. In relation to its rarity and its historical value, we propose it lined on canvas. A photoenvelope of this film is also available from the most recent edition in 1977 in which there is both the photo of the embrace between Leigh and Gable, and the image of the entrance to the villa from which Vivien Leigh emerges dressed in white.
